Good news! TJ’s S14 started today, although it wasn’t for a long period of time it’s a huge step in the right direction. Got the unlock code, plumbed up the vacuum line for the on board ECU MAP sensor, and checked the timing and we were good to crank it up.
Going to come back to it next Monday or Tuesday when TJ has some time off work to get it idling and possibly driving a little. He still needs to get an AFR gauge so we will see if he can secure one before next week. In other 240sx news as has been the recent trend I have a small update with my car. I got my KA fan clutch I bought off of rock auto in. Some nice fellas over at Zilvia helped me out with determining that the clutch fan that came with the car when I bought it was most likely for an RB and not SR.
With the new one mounted to the pulley I was able to install my GKTech fan that boasts improved cooling abilities. Still awaiting the Enjuku order which contains the fan shroud as well as the radiator mounting brackets so we will hold for that. Been eyeing some things on the auctions recently for the interior so if my bids end up successful I will share my riches with you soon! I’ll leave you with the current state of the interior so we can see the progress in future updates.
