Lazy Sunday

Wandered out into the garage this afternoon and got a couple small things done to the 240. First order of business was to get the axles bolted back in so I don’t need to worry about it later. Originally I was planning on purchasing a 2 way LSD from my buddy but for now I think it’s smartest to save my money and weld the open that’s in there down the line.

Driver side axle boot got ripped while we were loading it onto the trailer for transport to my place. I’ll need to address that later but for now once it starts I know I’m going to want to drive the car and not care about the grease. I taped the crap out of it so maybe that’ll do something. One thing I had not known was that you need to loosen the rear knuckle from the arms to get the axle in so that made the job a little longer than I had anticipated.

After the axles moved onto re-mounting the exhaust which was removed to be able to get onto Tyler’s trailer. Gave it a quick wipe down and man it looks nice!

Raised the car up 2 inches in the front and 2.5 in the rear. As much as I want it dumped right now I need it to be more practical as I plan to daily the car until winter once I get it going.

Need to find one of these headlight buckets and bezels and then I’ll have both headlights mounted up! Added some extra hardware so the actual headlight assemblies are mounted to the car better as well. This coming weekend I have some plans to acquire some more parts for the car that’ll change the look down the line. As always thank you for reading!
