It’s me again with a weekly update. I am the biggest slacker ever and didn’t get much done on the 240 however it was still a very exciting weekend! I ended up getting insurance and registration on the 240 Thursday just in case I did get the car going but unfortunately not.
Saturday
Weekend kicks off with Tyler and I cruising up to his shop to meet Wei and Devin to mount some tires on his new to him TE37’s.

With the deed done it was time to head back to my place. We hit the highway and the whole time Wei was behind me in his 240 I couldn’t help but feeling stupid for not getting mine going for this weekend. My biggest hangup was waiting on another Faction order with some essential pieces I forgot to add last time I ordered. It arrived on Friday afternoon but I honestly didn’t have any motivation to try and get everything done for the next day. Once we all arrived at my house we got to work trying to make the TE’s fit. They are GTR spec so unfortunately for Wei without a camber arm or a serious pull they weren’t going to clear today. We still took the opportunity with the TE’s all around to put my URAS skirts and rear bumper half on to see how it would look.

He went for a small test drive and came back looking like he just did 2 laps on the skidpad with smoke pouring off the tires. We swapped back to the URAS wheels and then shifted our attention the the front. He has recently converted to S14 front lower control arms and 5 lug hubs but it hasn’t been without some issue. Once he got the bronze TE’s on the car he started having a little grinding on the inner barrel. He raised up the car about and inch and added a small slip on spacer to see if it would remedy the problem. Then it was test time.
Testing phase number one didn’t go as planned… Wei’s wheel was still hitting the control arm and after that run you just saw I had a flat tire. Limped it home without damaging the wheel thankfully. Decided I was going to be media for the next session even though I had more tires. We ran into town to a local deli and got some sandwiches for lunch and then got back to working on Wei’s car. Somehow the starter signal wire on Wei’s car disappeared from somewhere in between the street spot and my house. Tyler rigged up a temporary fix bypassing the relay and the car fires right up once again. Wei put on a 15mm bolt on spacer to see if the rubbing would be fixed and then we headed back out again for more testing. Testing was going very good for about 30 minutes, then we had a visit.

Luckily he didn’t want to jam us up if we didn’t jam him up so we vacated the premises and will take some time away from testing locally. Went to our local chicken spot and then parted ways with the boys.

I shot an entire roll of film yesterday so I am eager to get it developed and share it with you guys!
Sunday
Did a whole bunch of driving earlier today. Headed out east around 8:30 this morning to meet up with Wei on his home turf and pick up some 240 parts. On the way to his house I made a pit stop at harbor freight from some ratchet straps and a moving blanket which will come in handy. Got to his house and became acquainted with his cats and then we boogied. 30 minute drive up into New Hampshire and we had arrived at the guys house who has what I need. What I had come for was a hood and driver headlight lid but after talking for a little bit I ended up coming home with many things that I needed!

Got the hood, headlight lid, chuki extensions, and a headlight plug all from him! I was really hoping that the hood would fit inside my moms Jeep but it was about an inch off and we couldn’t make it happen. Ended up strapping it to the roof and it went mostly smoothly on the 3 hours of driving. Also finally picked up the chuki bumper that Wei has been holding for me so now I should have everything to make the front end complete. Picked up a bumper guide from the guy I got the other stuff from but once I got to the bumper at Wei’s shop I realized it already has one so if anyone needs one hit me up! The guy I got all the parts from has a super sick 180sx spec hatch only thing missing is the SR but he plans to get there once the KA dies.

All that and we are now at the current moment in time. My plan for the week is to bust hump getting the intercooler fully mounted and then get all the panels on. Thank you for reading!
