Last I left off I had started the car and was really eager to get it out of the garage. During the week after work I got the last few things buttoned up before I was going to be ready for the first drive. That included finally mounting the intercooler. Not my best work however I can assure you that thing ain’t going anywhere.

Got a bunch of other little things on the car buttoned up that I’ve been needing to do and then I started to tackle mounting the front bumper cover. Seeing as I am running an aftermarket FMIC I had figured I would need to trim the front bumper a little but I ended up taking out most of the lower section. The intercooler I got with the car is quite a bit fatter than one I would have put on so that’s definitely why I had to cut so much. Took a good few hours of trimming then putting it on and seeing if it would fit but eventually I got it to fit good enough. Saturday morning Tyler I and took a trip down to Springfield to pick up some 16’s for his car. The guy we got them from has a super sick RWD Subaru WRX that I’ve been seeing at lock city for many years.

After picking up the wheels we headed straight to my house to get to work on the 240. Filled up the transmission with some fluid, ended up having to get that on Amazon as no local parts store carries GL-4 anymore. Did a quick bolt check on the car before taking it off the jack stands and noticed the diff bolts were hand tight. Fired up the car and moved it under it’s own power for the first time since I have owned it. This was a super good feeling I can only describe as pure joy. Smiling ear to ear I pulled the car down my street and headed down the road. No engine issues however Tyler and I quickly noticed a massive vibration as you accelerate faster. Only 100 yards down the road and we had to head back. Pulled in my driveway and jacked it up to find that the driver side axle seems to be borked. Called up Autozone and got one on order within minutes. Decided to put together the passenger kick panel area where to ECU mounts and then called it a day.
This morning got out in the garage and had to clean up first thing. I’ve been going at this thing and haven’t been cleaning up after myself so it was really needed. After a quick cleanup I jacked up the car and lowered the front coils. I had originally raised them up because the previous owner had them fully slammed but now I’m monster trucking. Lowered the front down an inch but I think it’ll need another inch to be where I want it. Did a little more trimming on the bumper and now I was decently satisfied with the fit. Attached the chuki bumper extensions and put it back on the ground. Still waiting on the axle I figured I’d clean up the car as it has been collecting dust for the better part of a year now. Drove it outside and did a full vacuum and wash on it.

Car cleaned up great on the inside, super glad this car has nearly full interior as I hate it when people rip it out. Only thing that I need to do to further clean up the exterior is get the adhesive residue off the fenders.

Still waiting on the axle from Autozone so unfortunately no driving today but I am hopeful for a possible drive to work on Tuesday morning. Still need to get screws for the blinkers to get mounted up but then the exterior will be complete! Also need to get my catch can mounted up in the engine bay and then that too will be all set for now.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this, it means a lot to me. Hoping for a great week of 240sxing so I’ll update you with anything notable that happens!
