Cold morning today but that wasn’t going to stop me from getting the Miata ready for action!

Quick wheel swap to put the 16’s in the back and the 15in gram lights up front. Not a big fan of the staggered setup however I’m low on funds right now and I have these tires already. Also did an oil change on it, I usually do one after every drift event as a peace of mind. The car probably only see’s maximum 500 miles every oil change but I’d rather be safe than sorry with it. While I had the car up in the air I also swapped out the bad oxygen sensor for a new one. For anyone that runs a Bosch 4.9 LSU sensor on an AEM Uego wideband I recommend going to your local parts store and grabbing one of these next time yours kicks the bucket. It’s about $55 dollars cheaper than the replacement ones they sell online and it works flawlessly only difference being the wire is a little shorter.

After getting all that squared away I took a few minutes to appreciate the car. Ever since picking up the 240 this car has been severely neglected as I was hyper focused on driving the 240 this year. This is really one of the first times I’ve touched it recently and it reminded me why I love it so much.

After getting those few things squared away and checking the front suspension for play the car is officially ready for next weekends event. Unsure if this will be my last event of the year as this year I kinda did away with the hit every single event mentality. Although I’d love to drive the December event it may be smarter for me to start saving money getting ready for the 240’s cosmetic overhaul over the winter. In other 240 news earlier this week once I got home after work I shut off the headlights and one did not close fully. After trying to turn them on again it appears that neither motor will move now and one light won’t come on. Upon trying to see if the problem fixed itself over night I got hit with a dead battery the next morning and have had the car parked since.

I tested the relays and they all seem to be okay so I’m sure it’s a fun wiring gremlin I’m going to need to diagnose and find. Going to try and push it into the garage so I will have a warmish place to figure it out. Besides that you guys are up to date with my automotive life. Personal life wise I’ve been temporarily moved to a car salesmen position at work and it has been offered as a full time gig. Although I’m not a people person the money that comes with the job is enough for me to consider going full time. I think it will be the right move as it will allow me to put more money into the cars as well as save more money. As always thank you guys so much for reading this, it means a lot to me! Hope you guys are staying warm and enjoying the fall before we get hit with some snow.
